Hello dear readers, as I begin with these words, you know it’s time to talk about dreams. Such a dream is exactly what 3FemAgenda is. Our company was born because the people behind the company felt that their skills had been given a “best before” date, without their having any control over it.

One of the reasons I’m an entrepreneur is that I’ve also experienced a lot of rejection in my professional life. When I was younger, I dreamed of being a coder and applied for an apprenticeship in the industry, until I hit an impervious glass ceiling: it’s a mostly male industry… so I was offered an apprenticeship as a cleaner.

Although a decade has passed since then, in hindsight I’m glad I didn’t end up in the industry, which suffers from a glaring gender pay gap. This is something that is also being pushed to change, but sometimes change seems to come unimaginably slowly.

It is from these familiar topics that I have come up with the themes of my books.

Hi Eeva,
I got your contact details from [name of colleague].
Thank you for your interest in [Company name]. We already have a few candidates in the final stages of the coordinator search.
Have a nice winter and Christmas!
Kind regards, [Name of sender]

This is the answer I received when I applied for an internship in my field, not even two references guaranteed a place. I kept the message as a reminder to myself: if I were not an entrepreneur, I would have to be a triple Master to survive in today’s working world, where expectations of talent have grown to mountain heights.

So I want you to ask yourself, how many times have you experienced adversity in your professional life? How many times have you encountered blatant discrimination in your life? And how many times have you fought against change?

One of my biggest dreams...

…was to set up 3FemAgenda. I buried it once as a silly dream that would never come to fruition and then I picked it up again. I wondered if I would regret it if I tried or regret it more if I didn’t. The answer was the latter.

It was clear to me from the start that 3FemAgenda would be more of an experimental venture and I struggled with the fact that it might not produce anything and I would have to do paid work to cover the costs of running the business, but at the same time I knew I wanted to try.

I was supposed to try. Some people believe in fate and others believe in their instincts. Personally, I’m one of those people who trust their intuition.

I could not be at peace with myself if I did not try something completely new: the will to be responsible and take responsibility, to strive for change and, above all, to drive change.

But all this will open up for you when you read my future book: 2023/2030 – Faith is in your hands.

So what does 3FemAgenda contain?

Online shop

Permission to be different. For now, 3FemAgenda will be a blog with an online shop. In the online shop you will find my Chic Lit type of books but with a better twist. I’m a big fan of chic lit books myself, but I’m really bothered by a lot of things in them, like dodging that personal responsibility to change things, writing about painful things lightly, creating tension without a thousand things happening at once.

Above all, I believe that adapting to big things is easier when you believe that things will turn out well or that their realisation won’t mean the end of the world in a certain area. I want to ignite the spark in you to change things, rather than resisting the changes that are coming.

Blog

The blog will be themed around the weekly No Buy – aka my year in the clothing/outfit shopping strike. I’ve been shopping for almost 20 years and now I’m thinking of putting a stop to this addiction.

Once a week I’ll talk to you about my spending and tell you how my week has gone. You can identify with your own problems and find peer support if you end up jumping in the deep end the way I did.

The second theme is lifestyle, the third theme is business, which covers entrepreneurship and dreaming, things that are also reflected in my writing. Without dreaming, meaningful things don’t happen.

The fourth theme is about my books and how they came about.

Hi, I'm Eeva. I live in Helsinki, but my dream is to have a house and a garden in the countryside, and to go hiking in beautiful landscapes with my family. I'm interested in two main things in life: joy and well-being.

I want to change my life for the better and try to help others to see the possibilities around them. I want to be inspired, surprised and touched, and to share my related thoughts, observations and reflections with others.

Shopping for imaginary life

It’s Friday, within a week the floor space of my bedroom has disappeared under my clothes. First I had to move 2 plastic boxes (35l & 45l) from elsewhere into the room, filled with previously pruned clothes that don’t feel like myself.

The Story of How I Started No Buy

For many of us, shopping for clothes has become an addictive way to spend time with friends, or we just shop alone in boutiques or in the online world. We are often in different states of mind and have a lot of conversations with our subconscious minds.
